I'm sure Scott will have something to show for this - if not, it's probably something he'll want to investigate for the OFS revisions. As for why the different style of terminal, that's probably based on either the vendor that assembled the harness or the rating of the connector.

If you have a copy of the '66 Electrical Assembly Manual, on pg 60 / E6-4655-2 it shows the routing of the AC wire from the firewall to the compressor in a couple of diagrams (regretfully I can't share a copy of it due to copyright issues). How should it be routed to the compressor lead? Thanks, Ed Also, the wire lead seems to be too long. Pic shows factory lead on left and replacement on right. Why is there a "bump" at the base of the female bullet connection on the clutch wire coming from the firewall? I want to cut it off so I can slide a new heat shield tube over the entire length of the lead.Then solder on a regular bullet connector lead.
